  • IT Engineer - University of Kansas Information Technology, May 2007 - Present
    • Work in close collaboration with data center staff, security personnel, and project managers to produce documentation, change requests, and troubleshoot enterprise level applications in support of university needs and requirements. Responsible for a wide range of technical duties and all aspects of server administration for university services including security, firewall, backups, log file management, monitoring and analysis of technical requirements during project implementations and upgrades.
    • Maintain central monitoring and logging systems for large data center including thousands of data-points and hundreds of gigabytes of logs per day.
    • Support all aspects of the Skype for Business unified communications system for students, faculty and staff related to the university including Polycom desk phones and many call / contact centers for university departments.
  • Network Specialist - University of Kansas Academic Computing Services, July 1998 - May 2007.
    • Administer servers and workstations as part of KU’s public computing infrastructure. Certified Altiris Engineer creating and maintaining multiple workstation images and software (DeepFreeze) to deploy and maintain over 600 campus workstations.
  • Tier 1 Technical Support Specialist - Sallie Mae (SLMA), October 1995 - July 1998.
